The 2012 elections returned President Obama to the White House, and Democrats continue to control the Senate. But Republicans still control the House, and we see more attacks on those who are struggling, more votes to repeal Affordable Health Care, more attacks on women's reproductive rights, more stand offs over budgets; one crisis after another.

Therefore, 2014 Starts Now! We can't let 2010 happen next year. Read more HERE!

Colorado

Under Construction

Summary:

Senate:

House:

Colorado has 7 Congressional seats, 3 now held by Democrats and 4 by Republicans.  Three races in 2012 were close; that is, won by 55% of the vote or less.  Two of those races were won by Republicans and one by a Democrat.

The best chance for a Democratic pick up would be District 6 now represented by the Republican Coffman, who won with only 49% of the vote or a margin of 11,000 votes.

The entry into the race of Kathy Polhemus, who considered herself a "moderate" Democrat compared to the official Democratic candidate in the 6th district, Joe Miklosi, may have been a deciding factor in the victory of the Republican. Polhemus pulled 11,900 votes, slightly more than Coffman's margin of victory.  So instead of a Democrat, the 6th district got Coffman, a man who has said that he didn't think Obama was "an American".
